As a Club of Character with a clear focus on developing and empowering our players for success both on and off the field; It is with great pleasure that we announce an exciting and dynamic new organizational structure that will enable our North Texas club to move forward in a very progressive, positive and market leading way.
To better align our club to meet the needs and nuances of the marketplace we are creating an organization along gender and specific functional areas to yield the highest and best return and results for everyone involved. These individuals will have top to bottom responsibility for the entire area of their focus and in the case of the gender leadership it will be from our youngest to our oldest teams.
Leading our club as the Boys Director will be Tom Blencoe. Tom was most recently our Academy Director and ECNL Director. This new position will allow Tom to bring his expertise, market knowledge and leadership to continue to propel our boys program forward. With the addition of Boys ECNL this combined leadership under Tom will allow a smooth and progressive pathway for development and enabling our players to play at the highest level while still enjoying the opportunity to play soccer for their local High Schools.
On the Girls side we are very excited to announce that Colin Rocke will be our new Girls Director. Colin has held a similar position in Louisiana before moving to Texas and joining LFCIAT. Colin has been our regional coordinator for one of our largest regions and coaches several teams at the highest level. With his thoughtful and decisive approach I am excited to watch our girls program not only grow in size and quality yet also to become the envy of the market.
Nick Soutar will continue as our Elite League Manager overseeing our NPL and Super Y platform while supporting and working with Tom on ECNL. Nick has done an outstanding job on NPL and we only see that continuing. In addition to the Elite league management Nick will now also assume the responsibility and bring his successful style to build, develop and oversee our Academy as our New Academy Manager. Reporting to Nick will be Regional Academy Coordinators which will be officially named in a subsequent email.
Nancy Lane, who as one of the founders of our club and cares so deeply about LFCIAT, continues in her position as Director of Administration and Communication managing all off field activities as well as working on our College, Expansion and Affiliate programs. Reporting to Nancy will be our outstanding Registrar and Treasure Kathy McGuffin and our Webmaster, who is our true unsung hero in our club, Mr. Frank Will. In addition several regional registrars and several very talented and dedicated folks that help our club be successful, will continue in those capacities.
Jeff Stewart will be joining our leadership as our new CFO and will be working closely with Nancy and the team to insure all financial areas are at a best in the land level. Jeff joins us after several years as our CPA and is one of the best and brightest in his field.
Dru Wright will continue the outstanding work he has begun with our College Program with our club goal of placing 100% of those players that desire to attend college into college. No one is better equipped and will deliver on this goal then Dru.
Adam Flynn after successfully working hard to improve our quality will now vacate the position of Technical Director and assume the new role of Director of Coaching Development. This key role is designed to assist and help our coaches get better , via a program including evaluation of our coaches, resource marshaling and application, feedback, training and support. We are excited about this new position and look forward to Adams success as it will make our club better.
Joe Wagoner will continue in his position as head GK coach and head of our player programs. Joe leads the industry on GK training and has one goal; if you are a keeper in NTX and want to get better , you must be training at LFCIAT under Joe. After successfully piloting the Strikers vs Keepers program launched last year , Joe will continue to build on that and add to it this year with an additional player program.
Tony Merola will continue to work as our Director of Soccer Development for our Affiliated clubs and will now also begin to work more closely with the club here in Texas. He will be involved in LFC curriculum implementation via the Sports Session Planner and liaison with LFC on ways we can and will continue to build our real and authentic platform here in Texas.
Our living legend Jimmy Melia rounds out our leadership team as our official Liverpool Way director and keeper of the Liverpool compass insuring we stay on course.
This organizational struture is positioned for success and combined with our amazing families and players, our outstanding coaches, regional leaders and the top staff, we are ready to not only succeed but surpass all expectations and deliver on all aspirations. Please join with me in congratulating these incredible worthy leaders who have answered the call to serve our club and will, without question, deliver us to a that special place called success.
